3 good reasons to build your business through Outbound Referrals

The first is to provide a value-added service to your clients at no cost to them. This is an important service that many clients do not even know exists. I am continually reminded, when I offer this service to clients, that they are both surprised and relieved to know we can help them with relocation services for their families, friends and employees.

Through our membership in Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, we have access to a thoroughly vetted list of professional real estate companies around the globe that will service our clients as carefully as we would. This is re-assuring for us, as well as our clients.

Secondly, this gives you the opportunity to stay in touch with your clients. Other than recognizing the anniversary of their closing date, birthday, or making an occasional phone call, this out-reach program will allow you to contact them more regularly for business and re-enforces you as their go–to person for all their real estate needs. This can snowball into an amazing amount of business! And, your clients are grateful and will recommend you to others.

The third reason to put some focus on this is that it is easy and profitable to do in a business that oftentimes can be difficult and time consuming, with no pay at the end of the day. One phone call to me, with the specifics of what the client needs are, is all it takes to get the lead placed and the client serviced. When the sale takes place you receive a check for the referral—it is that easy!

Each of you should be thinking daily about who you know, anywhere in the world, that can benefit from these services. Do you have a client whose elderly parents are moving to a Senior Living facility and need to sell their house? Or, a family member who is getting married and will be looking for their starter home? Or friends who have a growing family that need that extra bedroom and want to move into a neighborhood with a great school system?
